Rwanda: 8 years in jail for Victoire Ingabire



On Tuesday, The Supreme Court in Rwanda has judged guilty the opposing Victoire Ingabire, an emblematic figure of opposition for the country. In the affair bound to the Rwandese genocide in 1994, considered as a test during the independence for the judiciary instance of the country. Victoire Ingabire, chief of the party no registered FDU-Inkingi, has been recognised guilty of two of the six chiefs of indictment detain against her: having being conspirator in order to harm the country in strongly recommend war and terror, and minimising genocide as well. Victoire Ingabire who had pleaded no guilty, has been accused to transfer money to Hutus rebellious, then in asking why any Hutus were not mentioned in the memorial dedicated to the genocide victims’. In order to present her candidature for the presidential election, after an exile in Netherlands, but she was not allow to present in the territory in reason of the crimes against humanity. In spite of that, she came back in Rwanda in 2010 but the scrutiny was won by the current president Paul Kagame. Now she has to face the justice decision.
