Gambia; Execution To death


The Gambian president Yahiyah Jammeh has ordered the execution of nine people

The operation concerning the execution of the nine condemned continues. Among the population, are include two ex-militaries accused of betrayal and a Senegalese. Those people have been executed on Sunday; announced done by the Gambian authority in the next day. This execution his followed due the fact of the president speech which insists that people must be put to death as a punishment, and carry out an order or put a plan into effect. In this context, the criminals should pay for what they do and assume what they deserve. At least 47 people might be concerned. some institutions which defend human rights such as Amnesty International have comdemned this decision. The international Community like European Union, has tried to talk to the Gambian president, but unfortunately he does not want change his opinion.
