Usain Bolt was the main
attraction this week end at Olt Trafford. He was the guest of honour at
Manchester United's Premier League encounter with Fulham at Old Trafford. The
charismatic Jamaican six-time Olympic gold medallist is a long-standing United
fan and recently suggested he wanted to play for the club. “I want a trial for
Manchester United”. That will never happen in a competitive game. Instead Bolt
will have to make do with watching his favourites in action as they look to get
their season up and running after Monday's defeat at Everton. Since 2009, he begged
manager Sir Alex Ferguson for the chance to join his squad, but warned he would
have to be quick. Bolt, 25, said: “People think I am joking. But if Alex
Ferguson called me up and said, ‘OK let’s do this, come and have a trial’, it
would be impossible for me to say No.The fastest man in history insist of his ability to make a difference. And even Rio
tweeted Bolt, writing: “If you want that trial at Man Utd shout me, I’ll speak
to the boss!! Well done in 100m.”
